foundation is 2301 main at 8th i believe

i've been by a few times but seeing as its gonna be on the 3rd or 5th (?) floor its impossible to gauge progress from street-level

went by dosa hut on hastings and clark once again for about the 3rd time in over a month only to find a sign saying "temporarily closed,until further notice" so i'd say it official its a gonner , what a shame was looking forward to giving it a go, as i heard only good of it , especially considering dosas are in short supply in the downtown core

there is an article in the "d" section of today's van sun about the byo in ontario

has anybody out there actually done this and if so what restaurannt? if you click on the link about byo in ontario, its says that alberta, quebec, new brunswick as well as bc already have byo programs, hmm strange?

was talking to a chef friend the other day who mentioned that in van(or all bc) some(all) restaurants will allow you to bring your own wine but will charge you a "corking fee " so as to give them a cut , first off is this the case? is it a flat rate? and does it also apply to beer and spirits? jkust wondering as i've lived in this province for almost 10 years and have never heard even a inkling of it and quite frankly just seems a bit progressive for our archaic liquor laws

there is the possibiliblity i suppose that they're constructing the little fish box off-site, i'm sure gordo should hope so
