  1. more a cafe than anything but bojangles @ roson and denman is gone haven't been by location on coal harbour seawall lately so not sure if its still a go
  2. Roscoe's on Robson now up for lease, not great food but an instituition of sorts recently reno'd and now gone, was a welcome cheap eatery for that part of town
  3. coincidentally Lombardo's opened up a second location there about a year ago

  5. speaking of robert's creek was just there on monday, did i miss something or is that lame, hippy dippy gumboot cafe the only place in "town" to eat, walked in there and decided on the spot that i was going back to Gramma's and had a nice little steak neptune with the great views as well

  9. ok , another beef here, went to a local resto the other day and the waiter picked up my cloth napkin and i thought was about to hand it to me but to my horror he went to drop it onto my lap, a very technical manouveur as if he "let go" too early it would end up on the floor and too late and he'd be groping me, very awkward indeed, and then the peeper mill came out, i returned to the same resto a few days later, different waiter hoping that , that was not restaurant "policy" but just Rico Sauve's own special"touch"thank goodness thatwas indeed the case
  10. probably been mentiond before but i just noticed that rime on the drive is gone, i'd heard about lime but thought it was beside that space, not was that space, bummer does that mean no more turkish restos in the city?

  13. or do others find it incredibly cheesy when the server comes to your table with the rediculously big pepper mill and puts it on your food for you, do you tip more because of this? is there an expectation from them? just curious, i do however enjoy having something cooked at my table though

  16. as its quite a bit more expensive than other types( well worth it though) cheapest place i've found is safeway $3.49/ 500 ml, a $ cheaper than anywhere else iv'e seen it, hads anyone seen it for cheaper?
  17. bought some of their mediterranean style today and it was amazing, best, creamiest i've ever had here, then i looked at the nutrition label 15g of fat, 250 calories per 175g serving that was like 3 times the fat of their regular style, not even a lot fat version, but man was it ever good!!
