    L'Astrance

I have been trying to get a reservation at L'Astrance for almost 2 years now. They claim they take them 1 month out so I call that morning and am always told they are complet! I speak French, not great but well enough...can anyone help?
  3. Those pictures brought a smile to my face as did Roc's comment. I also live in DC and when I compare the Inn and others to some of the restaurants in France it humbles me. I go to Paris every week (I am A flight attendant with AA) and have made it my mission to try every restaurant I can.

    L'Affriole

I love the French people and honestly lately I kind of like thier politics (but I will save that for another forum). How can any country whose people enjoy life and food and wine as much as they do be all bad? No way!

    L'Affriole

I ate at L'affriole twice in October and can only say nice things about it. It must have been an off day with the moons aligned wrong. I even loved the fact that you REALLY had to squeeze into your table. Met quite a few interesting people and one jackass (a Guy from England,) made a rude political remark to my 10 year old daughter, but his partner (French) apologized for him. But even that made the evening interesting. But back to L'Affriole, I know there are alot of restaurants worth trying in Paris but if you ever run out, give them another chance!
  6. L'Auberge Chez Francoise in Great Falls has a childrens menu $32 and usually has specials for Mothers Day. The women all receive a rose usually. This is Monsieur Fancoise's 5oth year in business. They are very accomadating with children, they also have patio sitting where the younger children won't feel as constrained! BTW that childrens menu is a 5 course also which includes Filet Mignon should they choose to eat that! It really is a great deal!
  7. My husband and I are celebrating our Anniversary June 13th in Napa. I have booked a table at La Toque due to a favorable review I read on the internet. It is my first time in Napa...is this a good choice. French LAundry is the obvious choice I know, but I like to be different. Thanks for any and all advice.
