  1. bleachboy..about your choice of condiment on those sausages (wich im drooling over by the way). that doesnt sound half bad..i may try that. I myself choose a real spicy bbq sauce and sour cream on a cheddarwurst. Believe it or not it tastes pretty good
  2. Thanks for the essay Torakris...I found it very interesting
  3. I bought a 6 pack of Lion Stout yesterday and im about ready to crack one open. If you have tried it, what do you think of it? The guy at the liquor store told me it was a light stout and he has had a lot of requests for it.
  4. Thanks for the help everybody. You guys gave me some great information to give to the guys at the liquor store. I think i may try infusing the vodka too, I think it would be a lot of fun seeing what kind of end product i can get.
  5. I have been to 3 liquor stores around the twin cities and nobody carries it. Does anybody know a brand name so i can help out the local liquor store? I have a drink recipe im going to try tonight that I found in a copy of Itallian Cooking and Living from 2001 The recipe is 2 oz Villa Massa Liqoure di lemoni 1 oz freshly squeezed Orange Juice 1/2 oz peach flavored vodka 1/2 oz heavy cream Combine all ingredients in a martini shaker half full of cracked ice. shake and serve. I was also unable to find the first ingredient for this so i bought a bottle of Lazzaroni Limoncino Del Choistro and im going to substitute the peach vodka with peach schnapps. Wish me luck!
  6. Brad, thanks for posting this, I have family in the harmony area and i never knew this place existed. We are going to check this place out. Im going to call this place first thing tomorow morning
  7. When i was in high school i worked at a local family restaurant. One day we had a worker installing some molding in our grill area. Our cook heard the guy say "oops" and didnt think anything about it. About 15 minutes later a customer found a small nail in one of the pancakes I can remember the owner chewing this guy out big time. The customer, thank god, didnt bite into the nail and was very understanding over the incident and took the "stuff happens" approach to it. We ended up giving a free meal to her and she forgot about the incident.
  8. Im glad to see that that US beer drinking team website has a section endorsing the designated drivers. Having been on a volunteer fire department I have seen first hand what can happen when somebody overindulges on the alcohol. Case in point! We were called to a accident where a friend of mine got loaded and hit a culvert at about 90 mph. She was ejected from the vehicle and landed head first into the asphalt. BAC when she got to the hospital was .24 She ended up surviving but to this day she has to live with the effects of her accident. All i can say is have a DD..It just may save your life or somebody elses

  10. Susan you will really enjoy that Alaskan smoked porter. Alaskan brewing in my opinion makes some excellent beers. If you ever get the oppertunity, try the Alaskan Amber. It is one of the best beers i have ever tasted. It tastes incredible from the bottle and its superb if you can get it off tap. I actually look forward to going out to the west coast so i can aquire a few 6 packs of the amber, unfortunatly they dont sell the alaskan beers in Minnesota.
  11. Hoison sauce..I can eat anything but not that stuff,YUCK
  12. Thanks JAZ Im going to give that recipe a try.
  13. I have tried a few irish creams and i think that the best that i have tried so far is St Brendans. I have tried some that were really thin in consistancy and i didnt care for it. The St Brendans is a nice thick creamy liqueur. I have made the B-52 off the website, www.stbrendans.com and i plan on trying the sunbather tomorow. Does anybody have any reccomendations of any other irish creams out there? Scott
