  8. I know plenty of straight chefs who did not make it till 45, the sheer physical demands of working the line tend to wreak hell on feet, legs, backs and wrists. Those that are not able to redirect their efforts to a less rigorous employ face a less than rosy situation. I'll bet Tony B. does not regret refining his writing abilities.

  11. Went to 13 pages on the 13th. On my screen, it's only 10 pages long. You guys need to adjust your Board Settings (click My Controls->Board Settings (on the left), set forums/topics to 40 per page). Why do I "need" to do this? I prefer the coolness factor of having 13 pages on Friday the 13th.

  17. This is interesting as I've noted several places that got good ratings and are sporting the red Zagat Rated decal. Far East Taste in Eatontown is one such restaurant that Clurfield really likes (To be fair the food is really good, an amalgam of Thai, Malaysian and Chinese. Best hot & sour soup and fried dumplings in the county far as I can tell), and is proudly sporting their Zagat Rated sticker on the door.

  21. As far as the devilled eggs, be sure to buy older eggs (ones closest to the pull date). They will have lost some moisture and will be much easier to peel. I still have nightmares about peeling 3 dozen fresh boiled eggs that had the shell clinging to the egg like it was glued. Made for some raggedy looking eggs and more than a few had to be tossed.
