  6. Perhaps because when I order duck breast, sliced, I ought not to expect a few shreds?? That really got to me and my dining companion fared even less well .. sitting at the bar would have changed nothing .. There are so many great places to eat in and around Santa Cruz that I see no reason to return to Soif .. SC is still a great place to visit and dine well!
  7. When I was at Soif Winebar last January, I left starving and spent $100+ for two people ... nice selection of wines but way overpriced on the miniature food items .. also it was a bit snobby to boot ... Oswald's is definitely a "keeper" however ...

  11. In Atlanta, there is a brand new Olive Garden almost directly across the street from Romano's Macaroni Grill ... and I thought to myself, "Why bother?" There is such a world of difference between the two in all respects ...

Sakana-ya Restaurant This is their "noodle menu" which has several possible dumpling dishes, Greg ... it is just outside the Perimeter on Peachtree Industrial Blvd. and has lots of parking ... great dishes and atmosphere .. patronized heavily by Japanese businessmen at lunch ... read their menu and enjoy the music!

  25. Nullo, I can call you by that shortened name I hope ... I have tried many of the dishes listed .. lived in Morocco and have been to the Orient as well as Europe ... the rest are simply what I found because I am a research fanatic and was stimulated to do so with the impetus created by the introduction of this topic ... at present, I am doing more and more travel and hope to sample even more from the list ... Mr. Gifted had pho and nuoc mam in Vietnam but passed on the dog dishes ... but he loved the dishes in Bangkok!
