Hi there,

I heard a rumour that there has been for some time now a winemaker in Burgundy who was/is a Canadian citizen. The rumourville stated that they were from Quebec. Can anyone out there confirm this for me and shed any more details?

thanks!

Quebecer Pascal Marchand was the winemaker for Comte Armand in Pommard for several years in the '80s and '90s. He was lured to the newly created Domaine de la Vougeraie in '99.

Quebecer Pascal Marchand ...

Very gracious gentleman too. (Met him in Burgundy something over a year ago.)

...Marchand was the winemaker...

I probably shouldn't make any lame references to Marchand de vin...

Ouch,
