Fat's Chicken & Rib Joint?

Saw this place on my way to Stickies today (had a brisk sandwich and fried oreos) and said, "Hmm." Anyone tried it?

I see one passing mention of it on eGullet, but that's it. Oh, and this complete non-sequitur connection to the owner in this article:

Yep.

By the way, has anyone noticed the new seafood/steak restaurant, "Cherries" down the block? It seems to have opened very recently.

Towards popeyes... and across the street from that small building that used to be Uncle Louie G's Italian Ices and has been closed for what seems like an eternity. It was an Irish bar and grill type place, now its Cherries. I just noticed it tonight.

I haven't been into regina's yet. I'm not sure if its the same owner as Saint's Cafe. If it is, its the same guy who owns Felice and the brother of the guy who owns Le Jardin in Edgewater.
