Does anyone have any recommendation on getting Shabu-Shabu in the Vancouver area? Any Recommendations for other good japanese restaurants?

I have yet to have shabu shabu better than what my mom makes. Even in Japan. My relatives tried and God bless them or Buddha bless them, it just wasn't as good. I always try shabu shabu in restaurants, normally in the fall, as well as yosenabe(sp), and mom wins everytime. Maybe I should open a restaurant. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.......

"T" I agree I have never had better Shabu Shabu then the one your mom used to make me!

That was too easy.

Are you my father? LOL

Shabu shabu in the summer? It's definitely something to enjoy at home but one place that use to serve sukiyaki and shabu shabu is Koji on Hornby in the HSBC tower (corner of Georgia). I'm not sure whether they offer this so I would call ahead.

ahh where's the button for the fries?

Another old thread on a food I've been wondering about where to find a good rendition of. Anyone found any good shabu shabu since 2003?

Does Koji in fact still serve it?

Cheers!
