I just returned from a cruise that stopped in Barbados where I picked up some vanilla and have some questions that hopefully someone can answer. I've attached a picture of the label. It lists no ingredients and searches online for Bajan Classic are coming up with nothing.

What I'm trying to determine is if this actually quality vanilla extract or something else. It says it's made with vanilla beans but it doesn't seem to smell as strong to me as some other vanilla extract that I picked up in St. Lucia. The bottle says "5ml" on it but the bottle is probably around 250ml so that doesn't relate to that. I also picked up some 60ml bottles as gifts that had the "5ml" on them as well. Any ideas what this might mean? Is this just "watered down" vanilla extract or pure? Any insights into this would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe the 5ml is the pod size or the minimum amount of vanilla essence required?

Are you sure it's actual vanilla and not tonka bean? There's a lot of tonka in that part of the Caribbean but I didn't know the vanilla orchid grew there.

Thanks for at least showing me that I'm not an idiot and there really isn't any info about it out there. :)
