This small BYO does not take reservations and by 6:30 on a Sunday night people were waiting for a table. I had tempura consisting of lightly deep fried shrimp and vegetables which was a treat as I try to stay away from fried foods. Entrees come with soup, salad and rice. Lowell had fried tofu as an appetizer and Udon noodle soup which he loved. Friends had green river rolls consisting of eel, avocado and cucumber; soba noodle soup; and salmon teriyaki. Anyone been here?

it's one of the most popular sushi places in ridgewood (out of what seems to be 20). i've ordered take-out several times, and find the fish very fresh and food good overall. however, it ain't cheap.

There is a new Japanese place on Franklin Ave. in Ridgewood.  Its next to the car dealer.  I have passed it a couple of times.  I can't recall the name right now.  Has anyone tried it???

i fergit the name (kumo perhaps?), but one thing it has going for it is it's *huge*. this tells me that you can walk in a get a table without waiting 1/2 hour or whatever the waits are at sakura bana, wasabi, et al. please report back if you try it.
