Just for clarification... Elysean Foods is the name of my baking company. Pies and pao de queijo especially. I thought it might be important in case anyone I speak to actually asks what I do for a living. Which so far,no one has. Don't these people want a girl to make a buck??? "he who tooteth not his own horn, the same shall not be tooted" or she as the case may be. You have to learn to work this information into the interview subtly. Example, begin every response to the interviewer with the phrase: "As the owner of Elysean Foods, a baking company that specializes in pies and pao de queijo, ..." It doesn't matter what the question is, this should be your mantra. If this works, come to me when it's time to do your tv deal. BTW: I think burger club is a fantastic idea, too bad I moved to Westchester right before it began. I will try my best. Westchester? Unless you're one of those considering Westchester 'upstate' come on down! Someday.... diane, I think I would definitely come off as thought I'd lost my marbles! I'll try for something. clash, good idea, but no time to do it. Thanks all for the suggesations. Keep them coming!

I think visual aids would be a good idea. If you don't want to carry cold burgers with you, you could prints phots, or have 'em link a pee-cee in the studio to burger photos. Perhaps carve the rules of Burger Club onto a Stone Tablet? break a leg, I so don't have time for this. Maybe on my program with Peter Jennings....

Oh dear. We have another meat dress somewhere around here. It's pretty elegant. Can someone find it for me?

For the money, I'd rather buy a Parker Meridian. It'll still be more than an hour between picking up any burger and going on air. Not a good burger environment.

This will happen Thursday the 8th, sometime between 4 and 5 pm. This is Fox News Channel, not Fox 5. In my area with RCN, it's channel 52. Any words of wisdom? yeah. be fair and balanced. I'm kidding. Be colorful and outspoken, and to hell with the facts. That's the Fox News way. Consider bringing burgers with you to "show" as well as "tell" what a good burger is. That should make for good TV. Hell, it might even be informative. You could bring good and bad burgers, and explain the difference. Make the host sample the burgers too. If you think for a second that I'll have the presence of mind to do anything like that, you are clearly out of your mind. It'd be fun though!

Is this up to date? Suzanne? Other suggestions should be added to the bottom of the list, please. Foodguy, add away! So it doesn't get lost. Add to the bottom!

I said I'd wear the meat hat if someone could get a hold of the meat dress.

Hey diane! I'm so glad you came! Gosh, I don't know where the forms are. I think I can link it up from the much more manageable UK or Vancouver threads. Hawii would be cool! I asked some people in LA and SF if they wanted a Burger Club, but it seemed as though it might be difficult arranging meetings. Say the word and I will.

Oh PLEASE! Hey, nobody ever brought that hat I was supposed to wear! Not sure I'd wear it anyway. bloviatrix, I thought about that for a second, nad the thing is, is that IF they recognize me (which is doubtful) it'll already be too late for them to make any changes, I think. Suzanne, once we get known by restaurants, I think we should break down into smaller tables or go on different days or something. When I started the club, I had no idea that it would prove to be so popular. I thought four or five of us would be getting together and walk in and out without the staff batting an eyelash. I do hate the idea of breaking up, but remember, YOU all said that to keep the integrity of our critiques, the restaurant must not know what we are doing. If we can't do that, BC is a bust for the purposes of Burger Club, and our findings will be false and unusable. We are rating the burgers, not what the restaurant can do with our burgers.

If Burger Club becomes it's own forum (which it won't) I would think it's a good idea to keep things separate. People certainly don't have to read all the pages, and they can jump around if they like. Having it disjointed would make it difficult to search, I feel. Everything is all here on one compact thread.
