  1. I don't have a teapot. I'd like to find a small affordable white one of good quality.

Leona Meats (subsidiary All Natural Beef Co.) and Bryan's Meat Cutting & Country Butcher Shop are down in Pennsylvania, about 30 miles away. I'll have to ask them about beef tail.

Wegmans carries them here, but they are expensive! Years ago, they were dirt cheap!
  4. Ubiquitous here in New York state.
  5. Wowza! They are pricey! I do have some nice maple boards. But I almost always use basic, big or small, thick or thin, HDPE boards. They seem to last me a long time. I have one that's well over 10 years old. I wash and scrub them good—then sanitize with near boiling water.
  6. Too bad our closest Whole Foods is in Buffalo, NY—~150 miles away!
  7. Well then—I bet they REALLY stick when taters or the like boil over!
  8. I've been told that there are a couple small asian markets in Ithaca, NY—about 33 miles away. I've been wanting to check them out sometime—when I'm in the mood to leave the property.
  9. Another chicken leg quarter down! This time with creamed spinach!
  10. See my signature info (pessimism is sort of implied) I'm generally, but not always, pessimistic.
  11. Hmmmm! I would ask the manufacturer.
  12. No tea shops in this county or nearby as far as I can tell. ETA: This place isn't far—Corning, NY
  13. So many brands have quickly gone to hell after an acquisition or snip-off. Locally, when Corning's kitchenware product manufacturing (Pyrex, Corningware, Corelle, Visions, etc.) was purchased by Borden (World Kitchen) in 1998—things went downhill REAL fast. And yes, Corning did make some small appliances. I have a small Pyrex (real Pyrex) topped electric warmer around here somewhere.
  14. The only ones suffering may be those who eat it. I wonder how many folks have actually tasted the stuff?
  15. Beautiful! Lee Valley/Veritas has some great stuff!
  16. Ask him to elaborate,
  17. Dang! I'm certainly curious, but I wouldn't know where to start working with 'real' tea. And I don't really need another 'hobby.' Plus, I'm dirt poor!
  18. Interesting!
  19. I've definitely been temporarily blinded a few times in the past!
  20. Yikes!
  21. Tried that long, long ago! There are far more than 3 of almost anything around here that's regularly used. It hasn't helped!!!
  22. Since I'm the world's most disorganized person and I'm CONSTANTLY misplacing stuff (especially shears/scissors.) I'm seriously considering obtaining a good pair of stainless steel kitchen shears and mounting them next to the sink—for easy cleaning—on a suitable stainless steel chain so the suckers can't 'go' anywhere! Something else to add to the birthday and Christmas wish lists.
  23. It's definitely expensive and unimpressive. I miss the old days. My mom's first job was at a small rural abattoir/butcher shop—they made some GREAT sausage.
