  1. There are countless local places with great breakfasts. In fast foods, I have never found better than the Hardee's chain. Their biscuits can't be beat. I have eaten at many of them and only one dissapointed me. In Martinsburg, WV, there was a Hardee's that served CANNED BISCUITS. I'm still trying to get over it.

Those who eat underdone pork and chicken should be hit with a hammer.
  4. If the Food Network were an indication, the sheep population would be near zero. Recipes and demos daily. Americans eat an average of about 1/2 pound a year. Why is this?

If you are fortunate enough to find DUKE'S mayonnaise, it's probably the best ever made commercially. No sugar added and it has been featured in "Food and Wine". This is a southern product, but is available in some other areas. There are many who won't eat mayonnaise if they can't get Duke's.
  6. Bologna.....aka baloney. It was a luncheon meat that tasted just like baloney. Why? I don't know.
  7. My wife, Godzilla, and I spent our holiday in London this Spring for our first time in England. We stayed in a three star hotel and could not believe the prices for food. A continental breakfast, featuring bologna, bread, dry cereal, cheese, some fruit, cofee and tea was $18.00. If you also wanted eggs and ham/sausage the price was $23.00 per person. Why?
  8. Country ham and Redeye gravy! Please note: In the South gravy is a beverage.
  9. I am not making this up: Before the Discovery Channel eliminated its culinary programs in favor of questionable characters remodeling folk's premises while they were not at home, they devoted a "Great Chefs" show to the preparation of Llama medallions served with quinoa. Can you top this?
