I guess the "Water Cow Street" is a literal translation.but very hilarious! Never noticed that before though...I will keep a lookout for it when I go to ChinaTown
Yup! The store is selling shandong dishes. And $1 for a drink there! That's expensive! Cos usually in places like Ang Mo Kio or Bishan, they will sell it for 50 cents or 70 cents, depending on your drink.haha. Speaking of which, you should try KOI, the bubble tea shop, the queue is long, but worth it.
Ang Mo Kio sells good food too. There is this prawn noodles shop at S11 in Jubliee that sells to-die-for penang prawn noodles.

how about some sort of blancmange made with coconut milk and garnished with fruit and maybe some sort of scented nutty cookie or even a brittle.
I once made ice cream for a school project. I didn't think of it as risky.
Oh yes! good idea, i shall research on it! thanks for your advice! haha.ooo...I am just afraid that too many people will be using the ice cream machine.

For a hot dessert, you could do poached pears, or a molten chocolate cake. (Unless it all has to be tropical).
yup! all of it has got to be tropical.
-
You could do a fruit soup, but I wonder if the banana brulee is going to count as "hot" since it's only the top that's torched - the custard itself is cold.
hmm....you've got a point. I will check it with my chef tmr, just to make sure

Instant noodles, with corn[if there is any in the freezer], egg and crab meat.
KOI bubble tea.haha. I can drink this all day, but they are pretty expensive though.

Hi!
For a school project, I need to come up with a hot and cold dessert, along with a cake. For the hot dessert, I was thinking of making a banana creme brulee, the cake, mango mousse cake. But I couldn't think of any cold desserts to pair up with these 2 items. I didn't want to do a sherbet/ice cream for my cold dessert as it would be pretty risky and I was thinking of making jelly, with pineapple and coconut bits, but I'm afraid it would be too simple.
Any ideas to share? Thanks in advance!
