  1. Does this e-book have the recipe for PDT's Mariner cocktail? I'm specifically looking for how they make their cardamom syrup.
  2. Yes, it was cute. We are headed out this week! Thank you for the help.
  3. We will be car camping with a generator and Kold-draft machine. Actually we will only be making cocktails on the first nights at each campsite. Second night will be for batched/bottled cocktails and the later nights we will be drinking wine. Thank you for the help.
  4. I'll post some pics after the trip. Hopefully someone finds this thread while it is still showing in the " recent topics " box.
  5. My friends and I are flying in to Seattle next week. I'm hoping to pick up some bitters for making cocktails at our campsite. Thank you in advance.
  6. I went to Boston and went nuts in the liquor store. These are all items I can't find in NH, except for the Calera.
  7. Thank you very much for the update. I just sent my friend the app. Rob Roy any good? It was mentioned in the Saunders+Hess NYT article.
  8. L'absinthe for French food is close to there, also there was a good thread on it. Google or search on eG should bring up info.
  9. Bitter French is a French 75 variation from Death & Co. in NYC. I don't have the recipe with me right now, but this should get it in the ballpark. Take the French 75 and replace half of the gin with Campari, and then use only half the quantity of simple syrup. Grapefruit twist garnish.
  10. A big bottle of Cointreau would make this a lot easier.
  11. This should not be missed. Edit: oops missed second page
  12. Sidecar French 75 Bee's knees Bitter French Daiquiri Rum Ramsey Oriental cocktail Southside is an excellent cocktail for intro to craft cocktails although muddling mint is involved.
  13. Instant old-fashioned 2 oz rye 0.5 oz Solerno Angostura bitters On the rocks I drink that when feeling lazy, if I feel less lazy I'll make a Cocktail La Lousianne
  14. The beer and wine prices on your menu are inexpensive compared to the cocktail prices, upgrading to craft cocktails could raise the price more. Is there a market for craft cocktails in your area? How much red bull is being used in your bar?
  15. This list still good? I'll need a cocktail in Seattle in August.
  16. I need new cookware that i will be able to put in the dishwasher. This cookware will go in the dishwasher, should be full clad(not just base) and stainless cooking surface. While surfing the net i have liked the cuisinart multiclad pro and allclad stainless, are there better cookware lines that i'm overlooking in my search? Are people going to be hurt when i put the cookware in the dishwasher?
  17. Thank you Thesorus. i'll check those out.
  18. All we need is one good place in Montreal. I would guess that the best cocktails would be found at a hotel or restaurant bar somewhere in the city.(This may be a bad assumption, but i'm going with it)
  19. Some friends and I are gong to Montreal in November for a weekend and i was hoping to find a great bar for cocktails. When in NYC I took them to Pegu, D&C, Little Branch, and PDT for drinks which they loved and now they are wanting to go out for cocktails in montreal. Any suggestions?
  20. I'm really interested in the 2830 model but i'm not finding it priced below $200. I'll have to take a closer look at the 2240.
  21. Looking for help with recommendations for a vacuum sealer that is under $200 and could be used for food saving and sous vide applications. thank you, mike
  22. *Rumor* Jim Meehan and his brother are working on a cocktail book. Degroff, Regan, and Wondrich books have been my usually recipe sources for books, as well as "Mix Shake Stir" from the Danny Meyer Group. The Cyrus book is beautiful, but i'm not a fan of floaties in my cocktails, jusst my personal preference. I've had some luck getting drink recipes from the bartenders, at some bars this is a real NO-NO. i have found a few recipes on the internet. margaritas can be just as "Artisinal" as any other cocktail.
  23. anymore details or is it just better than Sripraphai?
  24. Bump! anything new/changed in the Montreal poutine scene in the last few years?
  25. Tuna mufaletta sandwiches, replace the meat and cheese with tuna. these could be made in advance of the trip. the tuna sandwich in Colicchio's 'wichcraft book would be a great sandwich for camping. good luck
