  1. I can't vouch for the burgers at Copelands because I haven't tried one there yet, but I definitely will. I consistently enjoy the food at Copelands, despite their inability to pack the place, I think the food is well presented, fresh and well thought out (which speaks on Chef Cisack's behalf) and the bar is the most enjoyable place to sit. I will definitely try a burger there ASAP. Probably this week.
  2. It's not in Bergen, but The Manor's Chef Selection menu is $65, plus an additional $19.95 for paired wines and it changes every few weeks.
  3. In Morris County, I would try the Black Horse Pub. I agree with Tommy, Legal Seafood always has a nice selection, and I'd also recommend South City Grill, they have locations in Jersey City, Mountain Lakes and Roselle Park. I've only been to the first two, and can't vouch for their steamers, but their oyster selections are outstanding, and I'd assume their steamers are as well.
  4. I apologize if this has been previous addressed, but does anyone know where Harold is opening his restaurant in Manhattan? Thanks!
  5. This may not fit into the catagory, but I recently had a guest call and ask about the details regarding our chicken dish (bad sign off the bat, IMO). I described it as being stuffed with a vegetable mousse, in a black truffle sauce. The response? "So it has chocolate in it". I was bewildered, then explained truffles are a type of mushrooms in this instance. I then re-read the description. Again, she replied, "so it has chocolate in it". "Um.. no, what makes you think that, ma'am?". "Well it has MOUSSE in it!". I had to detail to her that mousse is a preparation method, and not exclusive to chocolate. I also commonly hear people mispronounce haricots vert as "harry cot vert". Always makes me giggle.
