@Tropicalsenior, I am truly honored.

That lamb made my daughter stop in her tracks and start asking questions. It is beautiful

It's pretty popular. After initially turning me down, I wound up having to make more for my son and his friend, then again when my daughter and grandson came home.

Yes, lacinato kale from the garden. It is pretty much classic potato leek soup with kale added. A family favorite.

Don't be so sure, I always make extra filling and will patty it out, fry and eat it for breakfast the next day. Nothing exciting g today for breakfast. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and canned biscuits I cannot eat.

Plenty of Turkey breast in the stores here, both fresh and frozen. Not much in the organic/free range category in backwater nowhere. Saw some in the big city yesterday.

Oh my, that looks good. I guess I should have added I had 2 eggs over medium with spinach, onions, and mushrooms

Chorizo with potatoes, onions, peppers and eggs

We have never really done a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Roast turkey is not real popular with my crowd, they prefer chicken. I usually make chicken and dressing (southern style from the old church cookbook), Mash potatoes, and gravy, rattlesnake beans and pinkeye peas from the garden, and cream corn. This year, my son has requested chicken supreme over orzo. He will probably get it. I will have to be thinking of some alternatives for me since type 2 diabetes has taken hold.

Salad with egg, ham, broccoli, cheese, and spring mix with ranch dressing. Same thing I have had all week. At least I am losing weight.

Thank you for that link and thanks to @Shelbyas well, it has occupied my free time for several days and I am still on page 25

I do hunt, poorly. We have 2 small pieces of family property and a friend hunts them. When he makes a kill, he will often send a 1/4 or 1/2 as a token of his appreciation. He is awesome at handling and aging the meat. I break it down and freeze it from the 1/4.

Venison steaks with garlic and soy. Probably serve that with stir fry veg. Cuban pork also hitting the grill the today. Now, I've got to figure out what to cook for the week ahead.

Deviled eggs and home cured Canadian bacon

Fried pork skins and deviled eggs. Edit: On the bright side, I am down 15 lbs.

I have not had a potato in 4 weeks. I am trying to fight off type 2 diabetes. My mouth is watering reading this thread. If I get them in the garden early enough, very little pesticide or fungicide is needed. Following southern peas in my planting cycle and adding heavy compost minimizes fertilizer inputs. There is a yukon gold on the butcher's block that was probably dug in July. It is just now starting to eye up. It will be part of my son's breakfast tomorrow. Great home garden crop, just highly variable yields.

This is on my to do list, the pork is defrosting in the fridge. Deconstructed venison chilindron is on the menu tonight. Following Hank Shaw's recipe, instead of cooking meat in sauce, pan searing venison loin medallions and serving them with the "sauce". Baked potatoes as a base. Spanish Stew Recipe - Chilindron Stew Recipe | Hank Shaw (honest-food.net) I used venison stock I made for the first time. After doing that, I mourn all the wasted opprotunities.
