I think they committed suicide because of the kid in 12E

I have some sad news to report. Two of Patris’ bowls lived a good, but short life. They were beautiful, and kind, and they made people happy, because they held chocolate and allowed dippers to dip inside them, to explore and know what they truly were like down deep.... They were taken away, long before they should have been. They told me they looked forward to being handed down from generation to generation..... they are survived by their blue and beige brother and sister. They had no known children

About 85 to 90% of what we did on Friday was new to me, so, that was a lot to learn.....can’t wait to break out my new toy and give it a run... I learned the proper technique(s) for making sponge toffee/candy I learned Bernie really likes Marshmallows (and to never, ever mess with his marshmallows) I made new friends and was blessed by older ones I missed Ruth It was affirmed that we have a tremendous group of highly talented and skilled people I affirmed that two people (Kerry and Rodney) have a tremendous depth of knowledge and a boundless willingness to share and teach I left re-charged to get back into the confectionery Kitchen and get elbows deep in chocolate

I’m molded to the seat in the plane listening to an out of control temper tantrum in the row of seats in front of me.... if I could figure out how to record and post on eG I would gladly share....

A busy, busy day in the Chocolate kitchen.....

Followed by a dash back to the hotel and our Friday night Show and Tell

A couple of us decided on a cocktail flight along with dinner. the weather was a tad chilly (for those of us from down South), but everyone managed fine and enjoyed themselves..... the flight is (from Right to Left) an “our grotto”; rye and ginger and an estate Manhattan.....all were delicious

We quickly cleaned and headed to a local distillery/winery owned by Wayne Gretzky. We told them the night before we would be bringing a crowd back with us, but....I think they underestimated Workshop people..... They were very accommodating, and had to move a huge table for us...

The afternoons class was about bars.....an After Dinner Chocolate Bar; Milk Nut Bar and a Peanut Butter and Jam Bar

Yesterday began with an amazing array of pastries by @Alleguede followed by his personal instruction during the mornings Nut Paste Master Class

No one, and I mean NO ONE, could ever replace you!!

After two wineries and a distillery, we all decided it was time for PIE service was a bit slow, but, we filled the time with discussions about Caramel, brown butter, slab caramels, piped caramels....and please, notice the WATER filled glasses.... from there, it was back to the hotel to prepare for another busy day!!

They were closed when we arrived but, they took a liking to us, and stayed open to do the last taste test of the night.... we were very pleased at how delicious the whiskey is, so pleased most of us bought a bottle, or two, to take home with us.....

On the way back to the hotel.....we found this place!!

We then moved onto the Lailey winery, which thankfully was open later... and we enjoyed it it so much, we forgot to take pictures

They were so good, we decided to stay for the wine tasting....
