  1. It was even cheaper when I got to the outlet. 97.19.
  2. Williams Sonoma has them on clearance(in store only) for 179.00. I decided to call the WS outlet in Primm, NV since we are driving to Vegas on Sunday. Omg, it was 134.95 there. I got an additional 10% off for military. I have a Breville, however that price was too good to pass up.
  3. I don't eat burgers from Carl's( or anywhere), but I will ask for a fresh baked bun next time I get a chicken sandwich. I do like their fresh baked biscuits.
  4. I was lucky enough to have met Steve at all the Heartland Gatherings. I will always remember him saying that my take on the Nicoise salad, was the best he ever tasted( the comment was much appreciated). He left a legacy, that is for sure. My heart goes out to his family. RIP.
  5. We have a large wellness mat. I've also gifted one to someone and they love it as much as we do. My aunt bought 2 as well based on using ours and she is also in love. Totally worth the money.
  6. I LOVE THOSE and now I don't have to special order them from the south.
  7. I really like the egg white delight. Its only 250 calories and keeps me really full.
  8. My wedding was on Sept 28th, 2013 and I barely ate. We had a really beautiful backyard wedding in Socal and we served...... Mexican food. Carnitas, chicken, shrimp and al pastor. The guests could have tacos, burritos, quesadillas or nachos. There were rice and beans and all kinds of salsas and guac. I supplemented with a Mexican ceasar salad and a huge fruit bowl( mostly organic from the farmer's market). I did an appetizer table, Louisiana Cavier, spinach dip and crudité and ranch. We served 2 kinds of sangria, aqua frescas, soft drinks and water. I had 9 cakes too. a peanut butter milk choc.crunch( I made that one), carrot( made by me too), 3 bundt cakes from Nothing Budnt cakes, 2 cakes from a bakery( berry cloud and banana split, a NY cheesecake and a hazelnut caramel cake made by a friend. I wanted casual and that's we got!!
  9. Same "J" every time? Also, is "J" for jelly or jam? Pretty much. Grape(gag) jelly.
  10. My wife( a police officer) takes the same friggen lunch to work everyday she works. PB & J, yogurt and fruit. Its always PB & J. Makes it easy for me. She likes it because it doesn't need to be kept cold. Personally, I cant eat PB & J without drinking a glass of milk too.
  11. Oh man, I miss those Food and Drink Magazines. I still have about 20 back issues that I schlepped to California. Its fun seeing all the Canadian brands. Miss those too and Wow, you get garlic all the way from Cali. Nice.
  12. We just returned from a cruise( Celebrity Silhouette) a couple of weeks ago. We specifically booked Aqua Class for the use of Blu restaurant and the upgraded menu( and not having to eat at an assigned time or dress up). I was told that Celebrity has great food and their food costs per passenger is higher than most lines. I did the galley tour and was very impressed. Still, while I found the food tasty for the first few days, I grew really sick of it. Each day for breakfast, we would eat in Blu. Almost every day I had an egg white omelet with various veg. It was ALWAYS served with 2 asparagus spears and 1 fingerling potato. Dinner was at Blu as well and I had the fish almost every night. The fish was frozen, but was always prepared really well and was very tasty. The lunches were eaten at the buffet restaurant. I had salad every day and small tastes of whatever I wanted. I did not gain 1lb on the ship, I actually lost weight. I was really sick of the buffet food for lunch. The hot veg was always the same. Either peas, carrots, green beans or a combo of both. The Indian selections were actually my favorite and I'm not a huge fan of Indian food. The first night, we ate at Murano, a specialty restaurant. That was an excellent meal. There was a fee for that(45.00 a person), but we got a special offer for 2 for 1. I had a table side lobster that was amazing. My partner had filet that she enjoyed. I would have went back again had there not been a 45.00 charge. The portions were so large too. I have some pics which I will add later.
  13. Great Pool. I grew up in Plantation and we spent many a day in our pool. Enjoy. How much did your hydroponic system cost?
  14. I love the whole wheat. Especially with whipped cream cheese. I like the low carb "thin" matza too.
  15. My partner is really picky too. I swear, her favorite meal is frozen fish sticks( minimally processed, from Costco) and Organic boxed mac n, cheese. I once made homemade tarter sauce and she prefered the Best Foods bottled sauce. So, I've basically given up and I cook( really, its more like prepare) the dishes she likes on the days she works( she works 12hr days). This week we had ground turkey tacos( I did fry the corn tortillas she thought they were the best thing since sliced bread), open faced egg salad sandwiches on La Brea rolls, Tuna salad on Rye from the Jewish deli and turkey burgers( scratch) and baked stuffed potatoes. Last night I breaded chicken cutlets, fried them and we had some pasta and homemade red sauce on the side. I would have prefered chicken parm, but she doesnt like that ( sigh). Its also really freaking hot here and we tend to not be as hungry when its hot. I do miss cooking big elaborate meals. My ex had a hearty appetite.
  16. I don't quite follow you. You want to use organic chicken, O.K., fair enough. But-tum----eh....uh, well, what does the ingredient label on the "better than bouillone" say? "made with organic chicken"? or does it say: "Yeast extracts, modified starches and carmelized sugar for colouring"??? I actually like the organic Better than boullion in a pinch. Say, I just need a cup of stock or so, its a good products with real chicken as an ingredient.
  17. There is an amazing bakery in Pacific Grove. It was so freaking good, I went there 2 days in a row and took a bunch of stuff to go. Its a must try. 219 Forest Ave Pacific Grove, CA 93950 (831) 643-2636 Pavel's Backerei
  18. Bought this oil yesterday. Regular price 18.95, on clearance for 2.25. Its a mixture of sunflower oil and EVOO.
  19. Is it Food for Less vs. Ralphs? If so, you're paying for atmosphere too.
  20. All of that pre-made ingredients at Williams Sonoma is so expensive. But ya know what, people buy it. Today, I bought some Jam there, I paid 3.74( on clearance). regular price was 14.95. The only igredients are blueberries( not even the wild ones), cane sugar and lemon juice. Its good jam, but no way worth 15 bucks. I shake my head when I see Sloppy Joe starter or Chili Starter for 15.00 a jar. Their bundt cake mixes are 19.95( and you still need to add 3 sticks of butter and eggs). Ridiculous.
  21. I try to avoid Taco Bell, mostly because everytime we eat there, my partner gets a stomach ache( she eats the meat, I only eat chicken). I'll make a trip without her to try the new chicken bowl. We have 3 chipotles in our town and I love their salads( my prefered choice there). I do NOT like Qdoba at all, way too much stuff in those burritos.
  22. We have a Round Table right down the street. We got some coupons in the mail, so we made our way over there. Never again, there was a piece of wood(dont ask me where it came from) in my veggie pizza.
  23. I totally agree. We have all of those within delivery distance and we NEVER order them. I keep a stash of Jack's cheese pizza( 3.00) at Wal*Mart in the freezer and added some penzey's pizza seasoning before baking. Its a very thin crust plain cheese pizza that is decent if we want a quick meal.
  24. Watermelon in Cali is inexpensive. The last one I got was 7lbs for 1.00( Mexican market). I actually did a price match at Walmart, so I got it for the same price. I've been making smoothies with it, todays was watermelon, cantelope, a peeled lime, ice, water, a dash of agave and a bit of crushed pineapple. Blended in the vitamix, so refreshing.
