Great Report! They will be on vacation from Aug. 11-28th..... I just booked my 40th Bday party there. Can't wait
  2. I so wish I never asked this question. Please erase this message from the board. I guess I should have done my research and kept my Texing shut. The reason I gave a range of area was I wanted people just to shoot out anything. Meaning I am willing to drive. I did not think I was being inconsiderate at all. Guess people just take rejection badly. Then after reading some messages it sounded like Montclair has so many BYOB rest. that that area may be where I want. Thinking of a group and all the booze we may drink. BYOB would keep it cost effective as I just found out I need to pay high $$ for a seat license at the new giants stadium for seats..LOL! However I learned this is a place not to post messages for suggestions and just figure it out on my own. CHEERS ALL especially those with kind words to say! ENJOY, RELAX and LIVE WELL!
  3. I loved your idea of the Sunset Pub & Grill. Just decided wanted Montclair. Sorry you took time from your day!
  4. I am thinking of Montclair because of BYOB factor. My bday is on Monday... Not sure if I should just do it on another day because not much is open on Monday. Suggestions? T

  20. Went tonight after reading such raves.. I am still a novice when it comes to sushi but they gave me great suggestions. We started with Miso soup and it was nice and smooth. Nice chuncks of tofu. The we shared. tuna, cumcumber, and california rolls.. large and good. Then after suggestions had the fluke. OH MY what a great fish. Was very good, very mild for the newbies out there. Then had some tuna.. what great big pieces. Really good quailty and good price. I also ordered the eel. ALso nothing bad about that. I saw an ordered of conch pass by.. thats on my list for next time. As I said I am a newbie but looking to expand and try new things. The specials menu was extensive , will have to bring the experts with me next time. So many things looked good as they were serving others. Nice people and loved how they would give you suggestions and such. For the newbies and the experts I say it is worth a trip... Dinner was only 35$. Will be back.. As in next week Tracey
  21. Ok I went for DIm SUm in NY with friends... As I am a newbie I would like to get some for take out and do at home..... But being a novice I dont know the names... I see from the board therre must be a place in Lincoln Park which is near where I live. Can you give me some suggestions of things I could steam and try at home. Alsoo any dipping sauces... Thanks Tracey
  22. Ok finally made it to AAG last night. No snow, nothing was stopping us.. Not even the bitter cold. Got a lovely booth.. Nice and romantic. Ordered Martini's and did they pack a punch. Took me at least 10 minutes to just look over the extensive menu and another 10 to decide what to have. APP: I had the smoked duck salad. Nicely prepared and very tasty. A huge portion. Could have made it my main meal. Hubby has ceaser salad. Great dressing. Main: I had the Ahi tuna coated with white and black sesame... Oh my when the plate came out. It seemed like a plate for two. Huge portion and the tuna just melted in my mouth. Can't wait to have the leftovers for lunch today. Hubby had a special of prawns and clams in a tomato sause with pasta... The shrimp looked more like mini lobsters. He ate the entire thing down so fast. Ended with a great capp. and split a creme brulee which was good. So thanks to this great board for introducing me to a new place. Lou you got a great place there. Be seeing you again soon. Tracey
