    Fiamma Osteria

This has been recommended to us but they have not been in a while. We are coming in for the weekend and wonder... if not, what are some recent stellar experiences. Does not have to be one of the BIG names, (although could be). We only get to NYC 2-3 time a year and hate to waste a meal. Thanks for your help. 3. Hi Patricia, You can't go wrong at Flour Bakery and Cafe. It's on Washington St. in the South End. www.flourbakery.com Enjoy Boston!!
  4. Thanks for all the great information. We have enjoyed some wonderful meals and wine at Il Cascinalenuovo in Isola d'Asti. Are you familiar with it?? Anxious to try some of your wines this trip.
  5. Thanks for the post, Vesnuccia. We will definately check it out.
  6. Hi Simon, You will really appreciate the food of the Piedmont. I have attended the Fiera Nazionale Del Tartufo Di Alba several times. It is always around the 11-26 of Oct. I don't know the exact date for this year but assume is near the same. Hope this helps. You mentioned white truffle.. so maybe you mean a different event.Good luck with your adventure!!
  7. One of my favourites is the Art of Eating. A more serious food magazine vs a cooking magazine. No advertizing. It is a quaterly that talks abt the best of foods and wine. Where to find it, how it is produced, the best cheesmakers etc. Some recipes. A lot of information not found in mainstream magazines. Check out it's website.....www.artofeating.com

  9. Will be spending 3 days in Bologna the beginning of Nov. Any ideas ??? Thanks
  10. Try Ristorante Il Cascinalenuovo. It is on the Asti - Alba road, abt 1/2 way between both. It is family owned and Walter, the chef, is fabulous. We have had many delicious meals here. There are rooms that are very resonably priced and is nice to walk up the stairs to bed after taking full advantage of the wonderful wines. Zip
