  1. Don't know if you saw the article in the Post last week. But if you love fried chicken you have to check out Flavors in Falls Church. Added bonus- they've got sweet tea. I've only been to GA Brown's once- got the pork chop, it was juicy and flavorful but nothing spectacular.
  2. This restaurant is far from new. It opened in the late 90's. I haven't been in years but from what I remember it was fresh and delicious.
  3. meatwad- have you been to Eden Center yet?
  4. Went to Sea Catch for lunch a couple months ago. Food was good, service was great. Never been to Smith Point.
  5. Cheesy puns aside...I've only been to the original in Montreal. But it was tradition to have breakfast at "Eggs" after a long night out. I can only vouch for breakfast foods but it always cured our hangovers. I don't understand why monsieur stretch has a problem with this place. This area severely lacks good, casual breakfast places. Leave the Quebecois alone!
  6. Sounds great- did you have dates in mind?
  7. My tipoff that it's a joke- Popeye's doesn't serve boneless, skinless anything as far as I know.
  8. Nothing's wrong with Palena but my parents were just there for their anniversary. Yes- they eat out a lot.
  9. oops forgot to mention- been to Tosca too. I guess this means Obelisk is my best choice for somewhere he's never been??
  10. Looking for somewhere special to take Dad for his birthday. He loves Italian. Other than Maestro, and Laboratorio what else is can't miss? Thanks!
  11. Cafe Salsa serves Latin American cuisine-- never been but I know it's in Alexandria. 808 King St., Alexandria, VA 22314 Phone: 703-684-4100
  12. The pan fried pork dumplings at A&J are tasty and unique, sort of cigar-shaped. Try them with their homemade hot sauce. Yum!
  13. I have to agree with CJ on Laboratorio-- some dishes were fantastic others not-too-exciting. I thought Roberto Donna would at least make an effort to say hello to each table especially since we were celebrating a 30th anniversary. There are only 6 or 7 tables. But maybe I went in expecting too much. What did people think of the service??
  14. Daruma for big bowl of noodles on a cold day!
  15. Is Spezie in DC as good as Il Pizzico? I know it's the same owner.
  16. There's a kind of Chinese vinegar that is red- that may have contributed to the color.
