I stopped last night. The info was incorrect. it wasn't open. (or, at least, it was completely locked up with the lights off at 11:30....which means that if it was open they shut down by ten or so...hard to believe)

Nope, I stopped by at 9. No dice. Planning on trying again tonight but someone on eater who claimed to have walked in and talked to management (maybe they locked the door behind him?) says it's not open until Sat...

Also, weren't they serving cocktails for friends & family?

I don't know exactly what format the "Friends & Family" night took, but I don't think (correct me if I'm wrong) you need a liquor license to give out free alcohol - only if you sell it.
