Today's Globe and Mail contains the Report on Business magazine, with a exhaustive 15 page story behind the scenes at Canoe, by Trevor Cole.

If you are not a Globe susbscriber you'll have to hurry to a corner box or a newstand, as the ROB issue is usually a sellout.

This article also profiles Vertical, the new restaurant at First Canadian Place. Has anyone tried this venue as yet? I would be curious to hear your reviews!

Very interesting article. I've never eaten at Canoe but I'd very much like to try it now (I suppose that was why Canoe agreed to be profiled … ?)

I did like this also very much. I am amazed that they are not allowed flames. I had no idea.

great article, thank you!

I've eaten at Canoe (long ago) a couple times, but haven't been back since. Makes me want to return to see if it's something I'd enjoy again. Thought my previous visits were ok, but nothing that made me want to give them more of my money. Though, I enjoy Auberge so much, so I'd give Canoe another chance now that I'm older and have a better clue on food. Went last maybe... six years ago? Eight years ago? something like that.
