Nouveau Sushi, 635 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair (973-746-0399); BYO. Chef from Nobu, NYC

I was here once and thought it was very good but expensive. I also like Zen in Livingston. Both BYO.

Is there a good place to go for sushi in or around the Montclair area?

We enjoy the sushi at Asian Delight in West Caldwell. It's always fresh, but they don't have a very wide selection. My favorite is the spicy scallop hand roll and the spicy tuna, among the best I've had anywhere.

Dai Kichi

Sukeroku, the best in the area if you ask me.

Nouveau Sushi while good is way overpriced for a Montclair spot. You can do much better for much cheaper, but not less quality, at the previous two.

When I lived in Montclair, we frequented Dai Kichi. The sushi was always fresh and tasty. They had some fun and imaginative rolls as well.
