Mark Steenge, ex-Four Seasons Philadelphia and other top drwaer service jobs, has left his post as GM of Lumiere.

Steenge was increasingly the public face of the restaurant as its erstwhile proprietor/chef, Rob Feenie, spent increasing amounts of time pursuing his various television, publishing and off-site cooking projects.

Steenge called the parting "amicable".

I'm very sorry to report that accliamed restaurant designer Werner Forster is very ill.

Werner has designed Cin Cin, Bluewater, Araxi and West for Jack Evrensel (and was working on Jack's new home when he took ill), Hy's at the Mountain and Il Giardino and a host of other Umberto Menghi rooms amongst many others.

My bad. When did restaurants start needing middle management organisational charts?

When they started hiring publicists and grossing over $10 million a year.
