While in Florida for the weekend, I bought the following:

Matusalem Gran Reserva $23 non-Cuban  , Flor de Cana 7 años $20, 5 años $14, and 4 años $12.  Bacardi 8 años $17 and Añejo $17, and Brugal DR $12:biggrin:.

Have had, and enjoyed all, but the Brugal Añejo DR.  http://www.brugal.com/

Best of all, didn't break into my Ron Havana Club 7 años!!!

They didn't have Appleton Extra  , V/X for $17 was the best Appleton's avail, and I already had a bottle of this.

They also had Pyrat Planters Gold XO Reserve 750ml for $46, but I passed on this also.

You mentioned already having the Appleton VX in your rum locker, I am always pleasantly surprised when I drink that rum as it is certainly one of the best values from Appleton.

surprised you didn't like the Anejo from Brugal, it is a little heavy but I enjoy it as a change with ice and a little lime occasionally.
