Will be staying at 19 Reu De Bassano.. Which is i believe on the left bank close to the Arc De Triumph.. Looking for excellent mid priced to moderate restaurants in walking distance from my apartment.. .

Thank you.

Your right bank apartment is in one of the most expensive areas of Paris; the word "moderate" is not generally used in this part of the 16th. Try Oscar, 6 rue Chaillot, they have a prix-fixe luncheon menu at 19 euros. Good luck! JP

Ouch.. I really know nothing about Paris, other then the apartment we are renting is really inexpensive and in a beautifull building.. How far away is my apartment from the best dinning area.. If you can point me in the direction of the better area, i will try to switch my room.

Paris IS a dining area. And it's not huge. Maybe the rue de Bassano (how did you manage to find an inexpensive rental there? Wow, hold on to it and be thankful) is not the most exciting part of it dinnerwise, but this is not a problem since you'll never have to go far to dine well. So if you want my advice don't switch, get a guidebook of the Paris bistrots and brasseries, get a carte orange (public transportation pass) if you're going to stay for a while (it's free, you only pay for the weekly or monthly coupons), take some time memorizing the métro and bus routes, and do read the threads devoted to Paris restaurants in this forum! Hope you'll enjoy your stay and be warm and cozy in rue de Bassano.

I really second what Ptipois says; everyplace IS a dining area, no place is more than 25-40 minutes away from the Etoile subway stop; get a #2 map in major metro stops, search the threads on the French Forum to get the hang of things, and have fun.
