I'm the first to admit that French language and I have agreed to not get along :-) Spelling,pronunciations,syntax.... Anyway, I was invited to

sup at Louis XV located at Hotel de Paris. With companions leading the way, my three course meal - Soup de jour, Game and dessert were superb. I could not say what I was eating - Needless to  say later on I was told that this is Ducaise's Michlien(sp?) rated restaurant - If so, I'm impressed. However, I was not impressed with the casino :)

No Bond,No Goldfinger,No martini,no nothing.

Yes, but what about the women?

I thought we were in a kid-friendly site :) On the main floor of the casino, to the left hand side, is the slot machines and the tourist gulch. If you are a high-roller and local FF and left your RR coonvertible by the steps - then women will be like in the Bond movies :)

And you can find out their life's history between spins of the roulette wheel. Slooooooooooooow.

Remind me to update Louis XV,Hotel de Paris, Cannes & Nice

experience in early March :) By then my early '02 mileage run would have taken a break, and I'd be back from my second trip in as many years. Life stories and sob stories -- all narrated in details.

Anil, unless you're addicted to the Grand Cafe de Turin, here's another shellfish place that's really fine and you want to rub elbows with the denizens of the neighborhood: Coquillage Andre. It's on the right side of street that's the continuation of Av. Jean Medecin very soon after Pl. Charles de Gaulle. Reserve. We like it a lot. Really good quality, somewhat more attentive service (less brutal) than the Turin. Decent post-war atmosphere. Let us know how it goes everywhere over there.

Anil, it's not that I mean to be a chavinist about the France board, but I'm curious why you chose to post in "Elsewhere" rather than France. It's not like Monaco has its own army or Guide Michelin. ;)

My guess is that a discussion about food and restaurants in Monte Carlo will easily lead into one that includes other places on the Riviera and the food and restaurants of Monaco certainly fall within the context of dining in France.

1. Seperate ISO country code

2. Advisory to carry your passport driving from NCE to Monte Carlo

3. Maybe I wasn't thinking right having had a few glasses of  ahem!!!!! :)

I agree with rest of what you said about restaurants along the riviera.

I see, it was the Monagasque wine.
