Thanks for sharing, markstevens.

where is this place? Is it on the water?

Apparently it's easier still to dictate the conversation and in effect, kill the conversation.

It's on Bay Avenue across from where Cousins Cafe used to be.  A couple blocks from the river but no water views.  The decor is quite nice tho...

thanks, markstevens, sounds like it's located about where Bolero is or was.

might be worth a drive to the shore before all those sun worshippers clog the highways.

appears to be in the same price range as Indigo Moon in Atlantic Highlands

Orleans has been open about 7 weeks.  Not sure about the chef...

It's a couple blocks south of Bolero.  By the way I've never eaten there, is it any good?

Bolero is a hoot. VERY CASUAL, anything other than jeans and you will be severely overdressed :D  There are dance lessons some nights and just festive dancing others.  The place is tiny and our waitress took orders, danced some Cuban classics and served food.  A great server and quite athletic. Did I mention beautiful

The food is terrific, down home comfort Cuban if there is such a thing.  Give it a try, you will love it.

All 3 of the places mention here serve up very good food at good prices. Fifteen or twenty years ago about the only good food in Highlands was cheap all you could eat steamers. Now the steamers are pricy and scarce and you can get good cuban and cajun food, go figure.
