Sucrine lettuce

I can't believe we don't have a thread on sucrine.

It's my absolute favorite kind of lettuce.

J'adore that picture.

It has a faintly sweet flavor with soft, silky leaves and a buttery texture.

You can take the elongated core of the lettuce, peel it, and steam it — it is as delicate as asparagus and just as delicious.

What are your favorite ways to prepare it?
