I recently took my wife out for a surprise birthday dinner at Cibo in the Moda hotel (corner of Seymour and Smythe). I won't say too much as I think only four or five people actually use this forum.

In the kitchen is Neil Taylor (ex River Cafe). Had a chat with him afterwards and what do you know, he's a fellow Tottenham Hotspur supporter.

All (well most) ingredients are sourced locally and the pasta is the best I've ever eaten. A real skill. There is a limited but varying menu and a limited wine list. The dinning room is small (55 covers or so).

Right now I think Cibo is a secret. But not for much longer.

You should come over to the dark side, Mark.

Cibo has had plenty of press in the last month. Tim, Alexandra, and Mia all reviewed it very positively, as did I. There is more good press for them on the way, too. All well deserved.

I don't know there's been 146 views already. I agree that CIbo is very good and I like the beer, wine and spirits store on premises of the hotel.

Cheers,

Was at Cibo recently for dinner with my sweetie, celebrating the end of my 10-mile-10-day diet.

Food was very good; service needs a little tweeking.

I, too, appreciate the wine & beer store in the same building... can pick up a bottle of "what I just tried" to take home for another day
