Just wanted to say that I've loved this foodblog. I know blogging is a lot of work, so thank you all for your splendid efforts. It was interesting to see each of you work toward weight loss from a different angle. I have a few pounds to lose myself, and I know that exercise is going to be the key since my Lizard Brain is very, very powerful. I just wish I didn't abhor working out so much (too many years of sports, with injuries that now cause pain, is the reason I don't want to do any exercise now). But I can also eat healthier and you've all inspired me to do so. Thanks again.

Edited to add: every time I look at this photo, I break out in a huge grin. I love the young folks in our church. They've got tons of personality and spunk.

I love, love, love this photo! Although it may not have the food-porn quality or scenic appeal of some of the other photos in this blog, I think this shot may be my favorite from the entire blog. The spunk, as you put it, and personality just pop right out of the screen. Way cool!

Although I thanked the three of you before, I'll thank you again for showing us your lives and dietary struggles in such articulate, educational and entertaining fashion. I've learned from it - and, if nothing else sticks with me and alters my vocabulary, the term "lizard brain" has made its home with me. :laugh:

Great blog. Thanks to all of you.

Have either of you( or anyone else) tried the 75% reduced fat cheddar by Cabot  ( Its orange).  I bought some the last time I was in MI and have yet to try it.

I purchased the 75% reduced fat Cabot ONCE. We put it into the same category as your turkey meatballs. Didn't care for it at all.

Walmart used to carry a Cabot that was 30% reduced fat. It was very good. I checked the Cabot website and it appears they don't make it anymore.

Using my suribachi to grind up some Szechuan peppercorns (didn't bother to toast them first):

That is one fine looking suribachi. Have been looking for one that I can leave out on my counter. I am hoping you remember where you purchased it.

Let me add my thanks for your (collective) blogging. I always find that reading about other people's successes and struggles with weight loss helps motivate me with my own quest. It was really a pleasure spending this last week with all of you.

(And now I'm trying to figure out how to go to San Diego to get me some food from Saigon!)
