Hi all. I am going to be in SF next week, and I want to find a decent affordable bistro/brasserie. Steak frites, pate de campagne, moules, stuff like that.

Recommendations?

Thanks,

Dan

Consider Le Petit Robert, if you find yourself near Russian Hill. Psscal has his detractors, but this is the original (IIRC) and tends to have very straight-forward bistro fare . . . and the adjacent bakery doesn't suck, either.

We like Plouf on Belden Place. You can eat outside or in. The do mussles 7 ways and their fries are very good.

Le Charm does a nice 3 course dinner for $30.
