Marinated sliced N.Y. Strip steak served over toasted garlic bread with potatoes, sweet & hot cherry peppers & onions. The bread is a harder type but the juice from the garlic butter & steak soften the bread.

Thanks, we do have a dress code after all. All Jellyfish shirts must be accompinied by a plaid or Kelly Green Blazer.

How about Sunday or Monday?

Actually a Sat lunch is perfect. Give me a couple of weeks as soon as I figure out what's up with the sushi lunch, you can give me a Saturady that's good for everyone.

Really all that is required is to wear a collared shirt and slacks or a good pair of jeans. I think I"m the only one that wears a suit and only on weekends, and not during summer. Casual, but neat is how I describe the attire. Now for women.......

Thanks Chef, perhap you'd enjoy a lunch of steak sandwiches, good draft beer, Rosie & lapdances.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas just because I read it every year on vacation. A Chef's Tour because I've been trying to read it for 3 months. The New Clancy which really sucks so far causing me to continue my Gonzo journey. Michael Connelly's Bloodwork which is pretty good.

I don't know what to say but I don't have panko encrusted portobello on my menu nor on my specials. I've done shrimp with panko which isn't my favorite dish but sells well and panko encrusted monk fish but only in April & May because I'm not fond of the quality of the fish in other months. While being of Italian decent and sometimes showcasing these dishes I have never described a dish as " FraDiavlo". I am certainly not looking to make war with a township resident but I find it difficult to imagine someone at my bar dressed with a "tee shirt and jeans". I think perhaps 1 out of 200 might come in the bar with a tee shirt and jeans and once there would realize that isn't the proper dress. But should I not allow him in to at least look at a menu for future references. I understand wanting to keep a upscale apperence but once again I can't afford to aggitate potential customers while competing with The Barn or other dining establishments in the area

Best directions: Take 80 East to 287 South. Stay on 287 South approx 4 miles. Take Rt 10 ( Dover exit) follow 7 1/2 miles. 1/4 mile past K-Mart shopping center. Rosie, I'm drinking wine on the patio but will get to work on ther sushi lunch now. Nick, Anchor Steam ready to go. Offer to host dinner is still open.

Gee, how do you think Mr. Reda enforces that kind of dress code? Well dressed patron: "Table for two, please." Mr. Reda: "Sorry, we've currently all filled with suits. If you take off the jacket and tie and your wife changes into a pair of jeans, I can seat you now. Otherwise it's an hour wait." Thank you, TCD!!! In times of economic stress and layoffs in companies left and right, restaurants are forced to relax dress codes if we're to remain in business. I'd love to have a restaurant like in the roaring 20's that everyone dressed up but that's gone right now as are the power 80's. Chef, I'm sorry you've been disappointed in your past visits. Perhaps if you were a little specific I could correct said problems. In the past, my experience in this forum is if someone talked up The Grill, someone immediately posted criticism. Lord knows if Tommy showed up I'd probably do O.K.( The Steak sandwich and Magic Hat #9 offer is still open. Or perhaps I'll offer once I finally get off my lounge chair at take care of the sushi dinner and host a e-gullet 3-5 course meal at The Grill for a nominal price and everyone can offer a opinion. Takers?

Bond. James Bond. Martini, shaken not stirred.

Thanks Rosie, Glad you enjoyed everything. At least I don't have to stress while on vacation that everything that everything will go wrong. 2 more days left and back to the grind. Believe it or not I miss it ( A little at least) Besides I think I've cooked down here more than in the kitchen lately.

Hey Rosie, nice job on the radio today you sounded great. I listen to Arthur whenever possible, I find him entertaining. Next time you're on I'll bribe you for a plug. BG

I'll get to work on the menu for our little sit sown. I'm on vacation down in LBI and still hung over from the last 3 days. Might hit Morimoto's on Friday evening.

Referred as "Old fashioned Sauce" Have it in my fridge. Jersey Tomatoes with Vadelia onions. Told you I liked it. With tomatoes!

Best Steakhouse in NYC: Sparks By far. Lou

Actually, the only time I was at PL, I was told the steak sauce was very good with their Tomato & Onion salad. It was! As for the steak, I wouldn't have ruined it with steak sauce, made by PL or Christ himself.

Nick baby, you want Anchor Steam grab Tommy and come have some steak sandwiches. 10 beers on tap, steak, listen to some tunes and check in on e-gullet. Pick a Monday.

I've done a draft on a tasting menu and as I've stated it doesn't matter which place. Kyoto is fine. I just need to get my hands on a menu. I've got one for Nikko.
-
Link is not likely up. Check out nj.com for review. Probably ready on Weds Also better add my S.O. lest I get in trouble. Lou

O.K. Here goes, Oct 17th, time undetermined, place: Nikko or Kyoto. Over the next few days I'll come up with a tasting menu close to today's review. Rail, take a look at it and being I believe you've eaten in both places, pick one. Look foward to this. I'll just be coming back from vacation and into a 12 day straight work week. ( The price we pay for little pleasures, House on the beach in LBI with a great kitchen, stories and menus to follow) Guests so far Poots Lreda Rail Rachel & Guest Rock Rosie
