I found a good deal in Amazon Oz for a two-piece set (Lodge LCC3 Pre-Seasoned Cast-Iron Combo Cooker and 3.2-Quart Combo Cooker 10.25" Black) at $37 (two pieces for way less than for just the pan itself). Add the lid for $27 and I thought I got a bargain including free shipping. Thanks all for your help.

Hi Rotuts, International comparative Amazon shopping is not my long suit but here is a screenshot of Amazon Oz. I wouldn't mind that affordable and free shipping 12" model for the stove top. You're a man of science and engineering: have you experimented with hydraulic jaws to increase the volume of the CSO? Jack

Well that didn't last long. This morning I went to Amazon Australia to seal the deal on a Lodge pan and lid only to find that the price of the pan had gone from $21 to $83 because Amazon was no longer the seller. (see screenshot) Is it likely that Amazon is simply out of stock and that if I'm patient they will restock and the price will reset? Jack

Thank you Shelby. I'd like a lid to be able to not over-brown some long-cooked things. I'd like a casserole with the diameter of the L8SKL but deeper. I look and sigh at my large Staubs that fit in the old oven.

Hello all, Long-time reader, first time poster looking for some guidance. It's funny reading how so many of you would like a backup CSO or a backup to the backup. My proper oven died and the CSO has been my only oven for more than a year. I love it. I cook a lot but live alone and it does the job. Perhaps I need another in a box. I've read with jealousy about the Lodge pan. Many things in Australia are more expensive than it the US. That pan is about $A80 here -- very expensive for cast iron. I could buy from Amazon at US prices but the conversion rate (AUD=.75USD) and shipping (cast=heavy) cancel out any savings. So I have waited for this day. Amazon has just announced Prime in Oz. First month free, AUD5/month until the end of the year, then AUD7/month. It's about the same, or slightly cheaper, than in the US. I'm in. Purchase No. 1 will be that pan.
