  1. I would also recommend a KitchenAid but the KSM150PSER Artisan with the tilt-head stand, not the one with the fixed head stand, I found this feature very useful. It is rather big and heavy but very reliable and powerful, 5 Qt., use it a lot to make bread, lots of attachments, over 7,000 excellent customer reviews, I think the price is right :/  and I prefer the stainless steel bowl instead of a plastic container  9_9

  2. I cannot pretend to be an expert on black tea or even tea 9_9  but always get leaf tea (never sachet) and organic if I can find. For Lapsang Souchong tea, I order from Solstice Tea Traders traditionally smoked (? again not an expert) but I do like it :D  Apparently ( according to the package)  smoked dry on pinewood fire, favorite tea of  Sherlock Holmes... or may be rather the author Arthur Conan Doyle ...  9_9

  3. Worked at a patisserie for quite sometime and one of the things I learned and enjoyed is a good chocolate sprayer you can create magic with fruits, ice cream, cookies, etc.    :B   Now I have one of the best Krebs Lm3 Hotchoc Heated Chocolate Spray Gun  and let me tell you   :)   kids of the neighborhood love it  :D  Just a fruit, cherry, apple, grape, you name it, becomes a candy   :$  and  ! a good healthy candy with dark chocolate which is high in anti-oxidants  :)

I've bought from Bernal Cutlery in SF and Japanese Knife Imports in Beverly Hills.  Both are great but I am looking for something new.  I like hand forged, high quality knives.  My most recent was a Fujiwara 210 white #1 which has changed my kitchen forever - such an amazing knife.  But I'm on the hunt again...suggestions?

  5. Have you considered growing your garlic, for now, I'm doing it now in pot on a balcony. Easy, buy one bulb, divide all cloves and plant them half-finger deep, water not too much. Of course doing it in a garden with several bulbs, you get lots of organic garlic for very cheap.

    nice looking knife

but you got it from Amazon , USA  so there were no after costs for duty ?

it was no doubt built in.

So, here is the catch, you have to be careful with the credit card you use for the order in a currency other than the dollar, and from a foreign country. Most on-line purchase with credit card (Visa and Mastercard) will add a fee. As far as I know, the only credit card that is not adding a fee is Capital One.  Any other credit card company with no currency conversion ? Please feedback welcome . And another question on that subject, when travelling, which bank is the best?  Thanks

Euro-Cuisine GY50 Greek Yogurt Maker ...    but while I dithered over whether it was too much a single-use item it vanished from Amazon's shelves.  It's now only available through a third-party seller - and at (to me) mystifyingly high prices.

    Recommendations, anyone?

Decided to get the Euro Cuisine Greek Yogurt Maker but with the stainless steel strainer, good reviews, quality seems good as well.

Found this very interesting, as a geek and good-food lover :D My question (as a geek) is about IOT  (:Internet Of thinks), meaning to share data/info ? Especially about recommendations / advices about products from and shared among customers :/

  9. Interesting post, Just saw the wall-mounted drying rack for the sausages !  Cool !

So, looked at the Ikea site and then found a (what i think is also a quality 'food' rack) for pasta and sausages  sturdy and stainless-steel wall mounted rack . So, still thinking about which one :$ Being more expensive. But , then was just wondering about amazon in Japan ?  can you order over there ? i know for a fact that in europe it's no problem, but Japan? just asking the question O.o
