  1. Welcome to eGullet NJMCritic. When did Cucharamama open? Address? Phone #? Are they BYO?
  2. These are great. THANK-YOU. Rooney--What do you mean by " if you are willing to drive?" We are willing to drive for a great meal. How far is the drive. I think we are staying near the airport in SLC as we arrive in late. Will sightsee the next day and the day after that drive to the Tetons. We are serious diners. When we went to The French Laundry we made our restaurant reservations first and then got our plane tickets!
  3. Welcome to eGullet emmaline. Where do you like to dine on a slow night?

  6. Didn't take notes but Cinque Figue served fabulous scallops and there was a cake made with a mango mousse that Sweet Sisters was serving that was great. Seemed to be alot of steak, crab cakes and scallops. Also enjoyed the steak and creamed spinach by The Strip House.
  7. Rooney--First of all welcome to eGullet. Thanks for the recommendations. Will only be in Salt Lake City two nights. No price restrictions. Like to try local food and/or gourmet restaurant. Wine list is a must. Log Haven is a James Beard restaurant. Have you been there?
  8. Thank-you. Keep 'em coming.
  9. Any restaurant recommendations for Bozeman, Helena,Great Falls, Kalispell, Whitefish, Missoula, Dillon Montana; Idaho Falls, Idaho; and Salt Lake City Utah for dinner would be appreciated. Enjoy gourmet dining as well as places that locals dine at. Price not a factor. Thanks.

What do you mean that they would be bringing food to the table. Do they have a buffet and then bring dishes family style to the table?
  11. Look forward to your report tomorrow! Do you also try all of the wines?
  12. Thanks for the report. Never heard of this restaurant. Has it been open a long time?

    Zen

We stopped in for a light meal at Zen Japanese Cuisine, 277 Eisenhower Parkway, Livingston tonight on our way home from the NJ Annual Wine and Food Classic. We started with edamame and seafood salad followed by toro and a roll made with soft shell crab, spicy tuna and salmon topped with crushed tempura. Food was good and I particularly was pleased that the roll had a much larger circumference of fish. I would say the ratio was 3/4 fish and 1/4 rice. We had to wait 15 minutes to get our check and this place was noisy and crowded with many people waiting for tables. I saw that they have a coupon on their website at www.Zensushi.net. Phone: 973-533-6828. BYO.
  19. But Lou the steak was so perfectly grilled that it didn't matter if I heated it up in the broiler. It tasted great.
  20. Welcome to eGullet plattetude. Where else do you like to dine?
  21. Steak last night was perfect. Heated it up briefly under the broiler.
