  3. I don't think there is room for tables in that spot and assume that it will be take-out only.
  4. Lunch at the Highlawn is also a treat. Have always found Chef Altholz's cuisine to be exceptional.

    Is this restaurant is BYO?
  6. We're walkers/hikers and it's not a problem even in hot weather. Where is Mark Joseph's?

    Cafe Serene

Coco Bella is BYO. The duck is delicious but much higher in price then the other menu items. I think it was $29 when I had it.
  8. We don't mind walking and don't want pizza. Any other suggestions?
  9. Looking for recommendations for dinner near the South Street Seaport. We're willing to walk 10 + blocks in either direction. Do not want fast food or medicore restaurants. All prices and cuisines are fine.
  10. To get directly to the article go here: http://www.njmonthly.com/rosie/rnews.html I have been following Chef Lo Pinto for many years and have always enjoyed his cooking. Some of my favorite dishes are:wild mushrooms with creamy polenta and white port truffle broth; crispy herbal goat cheese sandwiched with eggplant, mesclun, tomato, and lardons; and sesame-crusted tuna with soba noodles.
  11. Anthony Lo Pinto has opened Earth, Totowa. More info here: http://www.njmonthly.com/rosie/rosiemain.html
  12. Thank you. I have to say that I'm skeptical. I like the brunch here and we go every year for Easter and Mothers Day but the carving station on those buffets are nothing to write home about. ← I haven't been to the rodizio night yet. However, I was at a catered event at North Maple Inn recently and the food was excellent.
  13. Rodizio is served table side.
  14. I'll find out.
  15. Portuguese rodizio is being featured on Wednesday evenings at Cuisine, North Maple Inn, 300 North Maple Avenue, Basking Ridge. Read more about it here: http://www.njmonthly.com/rosie/rosiemain.html
  16. Sorry for the misrepresentation Hank. I was not dittoing the pastry chef. And be nice as I am still willing to share one of my many bottles of Turley with you!
  17. A water pipe broke at The Ryland Inn and there was damage that is being repaired. This information was in the newspapers.
  18. "Out of respect for (and to help preserve) the good name and reputation of both the chef and the inn, I won't eloborate." Ditto
  19. "On a side note, if you like sipping fine wine on hotel balconies, you may want to consider popping into one of Denver'swine shops upon arrival as, once you get into the backcountry, it can be pretty hit or miss, unless you're at the bar of a resort. Argonaut is right downtown, if you're staying there." LOL After traveling and hiking through Utah we know to always stop at a local wine shop to fill up the trunk just in case! THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR ALL THE EXCELLENT INFORMATION THAT WILL MAKE OUR VACATION MEMORABLE.
  20. Thanks so much for the information. Since I am a member of the James Beard Foundation I like to support their restaurants. Any thoughts on these places in Denver? MEL”S MIZUNA NINE 75 RESTAURANT KEVIN TAYLOR RIOJA SOLERA VESTA DIPPING GRILL ZENGO
  21. Will be traveling through Colorado for two weeks. Any must try places, recommendations? Any price range and any cuisine is fine. I'll be overnighting in the following towns: DENVER ALAMOSA DURANGO OURAY GLENWOOD SPRINGS BOULDER
  22. Terrible location and terrible parking. Nothing has made it here.
  23. restaurant.mc was excellent. David Burke was expediting the night I was there. If anyone has the e-mail report I sent out please forward it to Curlz and Beth. I'm in Charleston and don't have access to my notes.
  24. Address? Phone number??

I'm not going to be able to describe it properly but Chef Zod made a sauce/foam from pasta and served it with shucked cooked clams. There weren't pasta noodles but a taste of pasta. I loved the salmon.
