  1. Great weekend and many thanks to Kerry for all her hard work and dedication. Would also like to mention a special thanks to our friends at Chef Rubber for donating the really cool take home kits. They are well stocked with everything necessary for a beginner to stretch there creative muscle. Or for the more experienced who now have a great travel kit to work with. thanks to all who shared there secrets, ideas and comments.
  2. Hi All, 2 things 1. pls let me know if you are attending the dinner at Casa Mia on Friday and how many in your party. I need to let the restaurant know final numbers. thanks 2. I have arranged for Laura from Casa Mia to pick up all our chocolates for show and tell - she will be picking up from the hotel (front desk) during the day on Friday to have them ready for us after dinner. Don't forget to leave your wares at the desk BEFORE you leave for Buffalo. Cheers and can't wait to see everyone tomorrow.

  6. Wow, did I eat ALL that !! I have to say that of all the places we dinned Joe Beef was my favourite followed by Hunting and Fishing Club and Au Pied.

  8. Yes, this was indeed a VERY disappointing meal at Toque. This restaurant was recommended by fellow e-g'ers and also by some of the local chefs in our Niagara Area. Not sure if we hit an off night, but I suspect that this restaurant has just simply lost its joie de vivre.
  9. Wow, what a fabulous weekend !!! I have met so many wonderful new friends and colleagues. The past three days have been an amazing learning experience. As requested, I am trying to pinpoint one thing I have learned .... impossible because I have learned soooo much. Brilliant idea to cover your tempering machines with cello for easy clean-up. Special thanks to Erica for showing me some great decorating and painting techniques, Bob and Steve for all your help and insight, I really need to thank all who attended because I can honestly say I learned something from each and everyone of you. The ease and comfort level in the work seminars was something I have never experienced with any other group. I feel very privileged to have been a part of this weekend. Steve, you did an amazing job of organizing and executing the conference. (also thanks for assigning my new name PLUS ONE )
