I have been thinking about days passed when I could order kishke at a kosher style restaurant or simply purchase it at a kosher style deli and take it home to reheat. Is there anyone out there who knows where to buy some good kishka in the essex, morris county n.j. area. OR how about a good recipe!

After many years of hearing about E&V, finally went with a party of five. The calamari was done to a turn and outstanding. Tlhe veal parm. was dry, thin and overly sauced and tasteless. I have had better in diners. Chicken marsala was tough and stringy. Seafood over pasts was just o.k. Steak was o.k. but had to be sent back since it was ultra rare. Wait staff was courteous and professional. Our waiter knew I was interested in hot and spicy. He brought me a bowl of potato and hot pepper soup, which was really hot and really tasty. The best part of the experience was the wait staff. Large portions are useless if they are tasteless.

The Windmill in West Long Branch and Mac's Embers across the street have outstanding Hot dogs. Also Pee Wees in Ellwood City P.A. near Beaver Falls, a hot dog institution.

Kings supermarkets; at least the one in morristown ,nj has joes stone crabs all the time when in season at a good price for Kings. My father the published poet said after we went for a meal at Joes, it was very good; but its cheaper just to eat your money!
