  3. i have yet to find an Italian restaurant that makes me want to return to, looking for any suggestions for my next trip, fresh pasta is one of my favorites.local places can be included . help
  4. I was concerned that things would change after all the exposure he got from last season's "Top Chef" - but have been pleased to find it consistent with visits I made before Top Chef. I particularly am pleased to see him feature Florida food stuffs, and do so very successfully. He is very active, and very supportive of Florida Agriculture and Aquaculture, in the buy local and organic philosophy. We like the outdoor dining room. Is it fine dining? No, its not supposed to be - it is supposed to be homemade and delicious. Bistro dining. An hour is a reasonable time frame for a roast chicken at home, and Mom wouldn't "cheat" by pre cooking. I'm sure Michael Schwartz has enough expertise in the kitchen to know what is advisable for prep concerns. Hard to argue with success. ← Success does not mean that we have to wait an hour and a half for roast chicken and the manager and waitstaff waiting for an hour to tell us the oven was not hot enough and the chicken being burnt on one corner when it arrived.I like the place but it is not the ultimate dining experience as many here seem to make it.

A three day meeting coming up, where do I eat?
  11. I have to disagree with most of the readers, Capt Jims is ok if you are on a $10 a day budget, Michys is a poor imitation on Robuchon amongst others , Sardinia are you kidding a ripoff at best Michaels really mediocre for a foodie but ok to relax on Saturday night,Joes is a must destination if you have never been , just offer $20 at the door and the wait suddenly becomes shorter but if you go to my site www.gagit.net, you will find the best in most categories and email me at ergagit@mac.com for my personal favorites or questions on restaurants not reviewed.
  12. thanks, I feel the same way the 12 course certainly will be give me a taste of the chef, the last 20 courses out of 30 I had at El Bulli were for for show not to enjoy.
  13. i am need of an Indian fix during my visit to London in a few weeks. I live in florida and good Indian does not exist.I have tried Amaya in Mayfair but it is only is a Hakkasan imitation in Indian ,see my review at www.gagit.net.
  14. Guys, what do suggest the 12 course or the 20 course menu,I really like to enjoy what I eat rather just swallow like el bulli style.
  15. ← Too bad you didn't enjoy tour Astrid y Gaston Experience. I haven't been there in a while, but flavors were more vibrant than what you described. Hopefully it will be better in Miami. It's too bad I didn't read your post before. I would have recommended a few places to go. Another good chilean restaurant is set to open doors in Miami sometime next year: Puerto Fuy. Also, there was a wine expo friday the 24th and saturday the 25th. Great place to try the new 2007 Sauvignon Blancs and others. I went there and really, really enjoyed it. Plus, the guest of honor was beer, with many brand new micro-breweries that are shaking things up. Hopefully next time you -or anybody else- comes over, we can sit down and talk about food a bit (my favorite subject!) Cheers! ← sounds like a great idea i will look foward to it.
  16. I will comment later on these restaurants but Janagada is a must must see my review on www.gagit.net, also empananda heaven is El Sanjuanino enjoy
