I was born and raised in/around New Orleans. My folks are not what you would call foodies. Though they appreciate good food, no one is sure where I came. I split my teens and early twenties between bad sales gigs and restaurant jobs (front of the house) around town. In 1994 I left for Boston and spent six years there working in restaurants (front and back) while I built a tech career. The day after Christmas in 1999, I packed my bags and moved back south. I like to say to be near family, but it may have been that I could not get a roast beef po-boy or boiled crawfish so far from home. Currently I am a computer geek by day and a food hack when I get home. I live Abita Springs with two munchkins, who are frequent victims of my kitchen experiments.
