Cauliflower is key to low-carbing. I also highly recommend shiratake noodles (made purely of yam protein) and Scandinavian Crispbread (almost pure fiber). Absolute must-haves!

Another vote for the Peking Duck House..but that's the only thing worth getting there...

I haven't tried the Jazz line but I nearly died of a heart attack when I opened their pop-up ad in a magazine and got blasted with the unexpected music. Beware!

My contribution to exotica: Lychee Passion 2 oz Vodka 1 oz Lichido Liqueur 1/2 oz Passionfruit Juice or Puree Dash Lime Juice. Shake all ingredients with ice and pour into chilled martini glass. Garnish with lychee nut(s)

Ate at Craftsteak last night. The place is huge and stylish, in a great trendy neighborhood. My companion and I had the kumomoto oysters and the sweetbreads for appetizers, both delicious. The sweetbreads were tender, large, and perfectly cooked. Then came the cow. After endless deliberation, we chose a Hawaiian Grass-Fed Ribeye and a 42-day Ridgefield Farm Corn-Fed Premium Hereford Beef New York Strip (Dry-Aged In-House)...I mean, come on, how pretentios is that? Anyway, we would have forgiven the annoying headlines if these slabs of beef had any taste, but they didn't. The grass-fed beef tasted too much like grass. And the 42-day strip tasted a day too old. I ate no more than a few bites of my steak. The wild mushroom mix and fava beans, though, were good. So all you vegetarians with fat wallets out there, rejoice.

I tried Leblon at the Bar Show in NY, and I must say it was really smooth. Made one of the best strawberry caipirinhas I've ever had

I recently returned from a trip to Spain and I highly recommend Cal Pep, Pinxto (at the enrtrance to the Boqueria market) and Abac (which was very expensive but well worth it...get the baby goat...)

Friend of the Farmer, that is brilliant!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!! BTW, I've had all kinds of lychee martinis all over the world. This one was different.

Yes, I've done that. But there's no answer yet at the 888 number and I called several liquor stores in Ny and nobody has it.

Wow. What a cynical forum. I've already explained myself to the manager of the website and he understood. I am just a customer looking for a product that I really liked that has obviously not yet hit the market. Very frustrating. Thanks anyway. quote=plattetude,Apr 2 2006, 08:05 PM] It appears that someone's looking to get Lichido on the map. And none too subtly at that, with 7 posts today either directly or indirectly about Lichido. Amazing coincidence, and LycheeLover having just joined eGullet today. </grain of salt> Christopher ←

Yes. Try the "Blushing Buddha", which tastes like heaven!!! I had it at a Lichido party in Soho last week. It had sake and Lichido Liqueur (and maybe vodka too? I don't know). It was really good.
-
Lychee flavored cocktails. Hope fully made with Lichido Liqueur.

I had a few different drinks made with Lichido Liqueur at a party recently. It's a totally addictive pink beverage. The promoters were saying it had cognac and vodka in it with lychees, guavas, and peaches. I think I'm going to start a fan club.

If anybody knows a liquor store that sells Lichido Liqueur (I tasted it at a party in NY and must have it) please write me an email. Or at least let me know when it will be available to lychee-obsessed consumers like me.

I recently went to a party in NY where they were promoting a new Liquor--Lichido--and I tried many different cocktails, each better than the last. My favorite one had to be the Lychee Mojito. It tasted just like a Mojito, but with an unbelievable taste of lychees, which I am obssessed with. And it was pink.
