  1. this was Moon Doggie.
  2. went once. There were about 4 customers and there was only one person working there on a Saturday morning. Too long of a wait.
  3. brilliant soups - on Friday they did not even have any soup. We asked and they said they did not have a soup today.
  4. have they improved the bread at all.
  5. got my first taste of Silver Oak Bistro. This weekend. Excellent chef but this food is too heavy for my taste. The lobser in the Rich Man Poor Man was excellent while the monk fish was just okay. The sauce is well prepared. Also tried the Rags and Fungus which was also very good but much too heavy sauce. Very fresh pasta and a generous serving of very good mushrooms.
  6. [the food is quite decent. ←
  7. [What are we supposed to do? I wish I knew who you were, Bergen ] some here had hoped for some dinners. You do not know me or many other possible Picnic customers because with a job out of your area there is no way for us to get to your place.
  8. Dante's in River Edge does good business. Anyone been there? Picnic's limited hours make it hard for many posters here to go. How about Cornucopia in Oradell? Any comments on Sips D' Lite in Oradell as well.
  9. the Japanese place has been open for more than a year and they have no tables. This makes it impossible for them to have enough turnover to have quality sushi. They have been trying to get tables but even after 1 year they have no tables.
  10. I will have to check the deli out thanks. Hopefully they have better hours than Picnic.
  11. Country Pancake House - huge portions, quality not great in regard to the pancakes. Has anyone posting here tried the French Toast at Country Pancake House.

  13. Please do volunteer if possible.
  14. It seems like it was announced about a year ago that Whole Foods was coming to Paramus. Does anyone know if this is not coming anytime soon. I do not see any progress or anything new at the Bergen Mall where it was said to be located.
  15. Balthzar is great. Not cheap but you pay for quality.
  16. if many of the lunch items are loss leaders as suggested would it be worth it to start later a few days a week and do dinners instead of lunches.
  17. based on the chef's credentials my guess is that she could do very well with longer hours and not only doing lunch.
  18. We were there about 3 months ago and the server even apologized for the poor service and said they will do a better next time. We ordered 3 entrees after ordering 1 appetizer. The entrees came out each about 15 minutes apart. We ordered 1 dish off the dim sum menu that never came. The servers apologized before we left the tip. We will go back some time based on what I have read here.
  19. The food at Picnic is great. I have only been twice as I do not work in the area and the hours are very limited. I wish they would be open later until atleast around 7pm some nights.
  20. Thai Chef is not great. The Montclair location was much better prior to its expansion. The Hackensack location charges more because it is in a mall and is nothing special. My complaint about Pimaan is not the quality. The portion sizes are about half what you would get at other Thai restuarants. To have to order twice as much makes it quite expensive for Thai food.
  21. the Pad Thai at Pimaan is excellent. The portion sizes for dishes with chicken are tiny. They put very little chicken in the dishes. I have found their sauces very good but their portion sizes containing less than half the size of a place like Thai Chef.
  22. We had dinner here once and the service was poor. Food was good for 2 of the 3 dishes but we got one chicken dish which was horrible as the chicken was rubbery. There was a party in the other room. I would not go back for dinner. Dim sum sounds like it is worth a visit.
