    Dinner! 2005

This should be titled what we DID'NT cook! I spotted this at the grocery last week and had to get a shot. I did not buy it, cook, it or finance it. At BiLo no less. I so miss Whole Foods and butcher shops.

    Dinner! 2005

I've been trying to do this for 2 weeks ever since the Roasted Califlower thread. Baby pea soup with carrots and Applewood smoked bacon finished with a tablespoon of heavy cream and a carrot rose for garnish. The sorbet was (ate it all!) Manderine Orange with fresh ginger. Garnished with chrysantheum flowers and leaves.I thought the combination of flavors was a lucky pairing of sweet and salty. Next time I'd like to add a bread or bisquit product.

    Roasted Cauliflower

Just finished reading this thread...................had to pick up a head at Fresh Market. $3.99 plus tax. This had better be really good! It's a "light" meal so we'll start with Proscuitto/Melon salad and finish with a Pear/Jasmine Sorbet. Yummmmm.

  6. Well, I live in Atlanta, and I admit I wasn't sure what "Banh Xeo" was, but now that I've googled it, I have to say I'm ready to hit Buford Highway... C.R. ←
  7. My first post and it's I'm already whining Coming from the DC area where my constant craving for good Vietnamese was always satisfied, I'm living in Augusta (and not just for Masters Week!) and there are NO Vietnamese restaurants within 100 miles (so say the locals) Does anyone have any suggestion for a Saturday lunch place with good Summer Rolls, Spring Rolls, and Banh Xeo? Gas is so $$$, dining out on a Saturday night is now a memory. Thanks!
