Would anyone be able to shed a little light on what (and where I can purchase) a quality cookie sheet? Everything seems to be coated in teflon and I just hate that. What do professionals (or at least semi-pros) use? Many thanks (and I realize this is probably a little off-topic)

I'm looking for some suggestions for a restaurant on the North Shore for a birthday dinner. We've done La Regalade many times, so somewhere else please.

There are great cinnamon buns (no nuts- the way I prefer them) at the Sweet Tooth Cafe on Nanaimo/Hastings.

I looked at Terra today for the chocolate breads and even asked the staff about them. Apparently they don't exist.

I'll be there next week and would like to know of a good place for lunch. I'm afraid my last visits there have not unearthed any culinary delights. Hell, I'll even settle for good fish n chips.

As the weather is getting colder and colder, I'm really craving a good hot chocolate. Something rich that is made from scratch. Any suggestions?

I believe Sweet Revenge just up at 25th & Main sells rooibos. I know they serve it, but I seem to recall that you can buy the tea from them too.

Has anyone tried the Windjammer on Main Street? I've heard good things about it, but have not tried it myself. It is on my list (it's a really long list!!).

Not only is Pho Bich Nga gone from Kingsway/Victoria, but the Rubina Tandoori next door appears to have left also. I was pretty surprised at that. It is now called the Red Fort and, other than the name of the restaurant, the sign is virtually the same. Anyone know what happened?

Has anyone here tried the Red Sea Cafe? It is one block west of Fassil. I don't believe it is actually Ethiopian cuisine, but rather Etrian.
