-

-

went by ciao bella on denman today and noticed they had a 4 course dinner for $29 anyone tried it?
-
yes, i know mistral is not top table just poor wording on my part, keep them coming ppl!
-
thanks guys, i had actually been checking out all toptable resto group, and did also like the look of the mistral classic ala cassoulet fixed price, but is there another hidden gem i don't know about?
-
with respect to quality and value, preferably lunch but dinner would also work, also must be pretty central, not wanting to travel to the burbs
-
enthuze on denman seems to be toast as windows are all pappered up
-
that crossed my mind a la new grandview szechuan moving to fraser but there wasn't even a sign anywhere saying it had moved nor its new location, not very business savvy!
-
was surprised to see golden great wall szechuan on broadway is no more
-
was in whistler on monday and went searching for behind the grind for a nice cup of coffee(mentioned upthread) and its temporarily closed because its moving, asked a local when it had closed she said that was the first day it was closed( go figure, just my luck!)
-
perhaps not but that was his last known gig
-
back at gastown rossini's?
-
oh and also saw chef dina (part owner) on city cooks and again no mention of big al
-
as mentioned before the sign over the door advertising big al's cooking is no longer and the menu makes no mention of him either, the only connection seems to be jambalaya on the menu so i think its safe to say the big al connection might well be no more
-
new place beside the marble arch on richards called the gecko club serving mexican, kind of a cursed location, guess if the menu isn't too enticing you can always catch a show next door
-
wow pretty surprised by the reaction and here i thought i was only asking a simple question, that surely wouldn't cause such a stir, guess i was wrong
-
thanks for that, most of the usuals although a few i've never heard of
