  1. Chef Parsons starts at Bacchus on October 25 and likewise I would not want to see drastic changes, from what I hear recently in the UK he has adapted his style in the more modern french way of things......we shall see I guess.

  3. I understand from reliable sources that Lee Parsons who re-opened the Prince of Wales Hotel in Niagara on the Lake after giving up the stoves at Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons has been appointed the new Executive Chef at the Wedgewood Hotel & Bacchus restaurant in Vancouver.
  4. Having just settled into the city (full time) after a delightful stay at the Wedgewood, the term "Wedgie" would not be how I would describe the hotel. You may want to re work that one.
  5. Jamie, Sounds like time for your own web site and forum, really enjoy reading all your tit bits and information on the movers and shakers. I'm sure you could think of a few sponsors to get the thing up and running and judging from your following in Van Mag it is sure to be a hit even with Ms Scher. Any thoughts? MAP
  6. In Chablis, just east of Auxerre is the Hostellerie des Clos, which is lovely and not too expensive. I believe they have a web site
  7. I like it! Please keep it coming, I will post the final menu in the coming week. Allez Lance!
  8. We are hosting a dinner for a few friends on July 21st all of whom are very keen followers of Le Tour. Other than Gateaux Paris-Brest we have drawn a blank on cycling related menu items......any ideas please.
  9. We had a great stay at the Wedgewood recently, also on recommendation from this forum and found a number of good breakfast spots nearby and we also ate in Bacchus for a good few meals (including breakfast) as well which was superb. Cafe Artigianno make the best coffees we have found anywhere! Its just down the street. Biking in the city is great, we rented bikes for a couple of days and kept them at the hotel, I even found out that the Wedgewood sponsers a local cycling team! great city MAP
